Smoke and Mirrors

Makeup is not something I use all that often, but when I go out I like to turn it up, not MAC full borderline tranny face but maybe the latest look Nars has circulating on the runways. One look that I cannot seem to master is the sultry, always night appropriate "smokey eye". This editorial is the perfect visual aid for what I want to emulate, using different colors(purple, green, blue), 'smokey' can actually appear soft rather than the harsh black we're used to seeing. My eye shape is not a viable candidate (almond), so I have to do extra tricks to compensate for my lack in lid space. Hopefully, the abyss that is Youtube has tutorials for the beauty inept. I think I will start there!

  2. I find it hard to master the 'smokey eye' as well but I love how it can make people look bold and fearce. Makeup is another type of art that needs a lot of practice and work.

  14. I also do not wear make-up that often, as my skin is very sensitive and by wearing make-up often it gets irritated, but I love make-up, and those pictures are fabulous!
    Following you:D
