DROP Everything That Your Doing.....
and head on over to Drop. Drop is this really great site that I stumbled upon while blogging today, its actually a magazine that focuses on the culture of tokyo. Everyone knows that the people of Japan are no novices when it comes to fashion, it truly is a very big part of their culture. What enthralled me the most about this site is the fact that each and every person had their own unique style (no carbon copies here!). I have found (and this is my opinion, and im trying not to generalize)that most people, not all, of asian descent have this inherent sense of style that no matter what they put on(in most cases) it just looks amazing. I have this ex-coworker/friendly acquaintance/hopeful future business partner, by the name of Lisa Nguyuen who is Korean, she is just an amazing dresser no matter what she puts on it just works. I think its also safe to say that most asian designers are forward thinkers, meaning often times they do not borrow from the past for their inspiration, they are always coming up with new silhouettes and fashion "forward" designs,(Rei Kawakubo,Lie Sang Bok,and Nikicio just to name a few). Drop exhibits personal styling at its finest, I urge you all to check it out!
The pics are from the Drop site, some are from a photoshoot and the rest are of japanese streetstyle.
Thanks for reading my lovies!
xx
